According to a recent study related to marijuana ingestion, a Colorado hospital’s emergency-room visits linked to cannabis tripled over the first years of the state’s implementation of recreational marijuana.

Cannabis-related ER visits have increased yearly at the University of Colorado hospital in Aurora, from under 250 in 2012 to more than 750 in 2016. And while edible cannabis represented only 0.3% of THC sold, it was linked to 10% of cannabis-related ER visits.
