Local communities and governments are taking states with legal marijuana to court over issues like home deliveries. Communities that have banned commercial pot sales are taking a stand.
In California, Proposition 64, which legalized marijuana in 2016, now faces challenges in the courts. The 2016 law states that the authority rests with communities and local governments to ban non-medical marijuana businesses. But the State of California raises the following language: “shall not prevent delivery of cannabis or cannabis products on public roads” by licensed operators.
